New recurring cannabis-friendly food truck fest will be the place to get and cure the munchies
PHOENIX, Ariz.— From the brilliant minds who brought you Cannafest, Concentrated Comedy and everyone’s favorite monthly Gatherings comes a new monthly series with the ganja-guided gastronome in mind.
Trap Culture is excited to introduce Mangia Ganja, a new kind of monthly food truck fest in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. At Mangia Ganja, patrons will be able to legally consume cannabis while sampling delectable offerings from the Valley’s best and beloved food trucks, as well as a number of Valley cannabis brands who will be on hand with tasty treats of their own.
If you’re struck by a sudden case of DeJa’Vu when the words Mangia Ganja hit your ears, fret not—this is not evidence that we are in the Matrix (not any further evidence anyway). In a previous incarnation, there was, indeed, a Trap Culture event by the same name, which, in addition to including dozens of food trucks, also doubled as a music, art and cannabis festival—an occasion set the bar as the biggest cannabis festival since recreational adult-use opened in Arizona.
However, in the interest of doing something more centrally-located (the first Mangia was held at the Fear Farm grounds on the outskirts of the West Valley), the group behind your favorite weed events determined that finding a universally midway point for most attendees was ideal for this four-twenty-friendly feast of fancy. The Venue on Washington is the perfect location for such an event, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for food trucks, cannabis vendors and guests, alike.
Mangia Ganja will be the perfect monthly event to pair with Trap’s monthly nightlife Gatherings, as well as a great follow up to September’s Cannafest, the group’s annual cannabis-friendly waterpark pool party. In a city where Sunday brunch options are as superfluous as they are essentially carbon copies of each other, area stoners will now be able to enjoy a different kind of Mimosa while enjoying the weather, watching the game and grooving to chill brunch jams, curated by some of the Valley’s best DJs.
According to a Trap Culture representative, the event is ideal for cannabis enthusiasts looking for something chill to do on a Sunday. “Put simply, we wanted to have a place where the Valley’s stoners can come, watch some football, eat some great food, enjoy the perfect weather—all while being able to socialize and legally smoke weed with their friends.”
